Lazy girl tip: The quickest way to dress up an outfit is to add a third item - hat/scarf/jacket/vest/etc. It instantly looks as though you've put much more thought into getting dressed! To encourage this habit, I keep my hat wall right by the door so I can grab and go! Option 2: A Celine Luggage tote can also dress up any outfit.
(What is a hat wall? It's simply a wall full of removable adhesive hooks on which I hang my hats! Space saving and neat.)
I'm wearing a super soft Lyocell denim shirt from Club Monaco - one of my favourite fabrics - I wore it before here. These are the "Stilletto" jeans by Current/Elliott, a good basic skinny jean that comes in a million different colors and washes. And those Chloe Susanna boots...Ssense is a good place to shop because there's no tax and free shipping (in the US)! The low heel makes it very comfortable to wear.
More tips: I often put an additional supportive insole in my boots to make it even more comfortable. When I invest in iconic shoes like these Susanna boots, I make sure to protect them by having a rubber sole installed - you can get it done at any reputable shoe repair shop. This improves the grip on the shoes, and reduces wear on the soles, thus lengthening the life of your expensive shoes! When the rubber wears out, you simply get it replaced and its like new. If you're in the LA area, I take my shoes to Pasquale Shoe Repair, and it costs about $30-$35 per pair.
#fail: I was going for the unbuttoned-shirt-with-peekaboo-lace-bra look, but when I realized that it was going to be my brother behind the camera, I decided to button up, haha. No disapproving look here.
