Dress for Success is an international non-profit organization that empowers women all over the world to achieve financial independence by providing them tools such as professional attire, development tools, and a strong support network.

The way we dress in the workplace can convey so much - looking polished says that you take pride in your appearance and in your work. Running Just Goh With It is not the only thing do, I work at full time at an e-Commerce company where the office dress code is business casual.  In my professional career, I've had  many opportunities to interview and attend career networking events. Each time, I choose an outfit that is simple, polished, and helps me feel confident. A classic ensemble that is often my go-to outfit is the pantsuit. I personally prefer pants over skirts because it allows more freedom of movement and if I'm seated, I'm less worried about my skirt riding up or the slit getting too high. And closed-toe shoes > open sandals, because bare toes can look unprofessional. One of the most important things in making an outfit look polished is its fit. You don't necessarily have to have all your clothes custom tailored, but try to adjust hemlines or take in areas that are too baggy. Even safety pins work, as long as they're hidden. However, the ultimate "power outfit" is not "nice" clothes - its good posture. Anyone can achieve this with practice! Good posture and positive body language is subtle, but powerful in making a good impression.

Some of the people that I've found most empowering and that have positively impacted my career are those that I've met through my network - be it through friends, colleagues, or schools. Just sharing some common ground with somebody else can help you gain support and create rapport. Through Dress for Success, women in need of support and guidance can gain access to the organization's large and growing network, .

The pantsuit here is updated with current colors - did I mention that I love camel (the color, but the animal is very cute too)! The wool palazzo pants are from Zara (currently on sale!) and the wool blazer is from Massimo Duttii. Inside, I wore this basic spandex bodysuit from American Apparel.
