Blooming Blossoms

I've been MIA for over a week, and missed one weekly outfit post, alas. But I'm back! I've been traveling over the past 2 weeks, first across the Pacific Ocean to Bali, Indonesia, then back and up the California coast to Napa Valley for the Bottlerock Festival. Not quite ready to be back at work :D (A Bali travel post will come soon!)

This outfit was from my recent visit to Descanso Gardens. There are so many little escapes within LA, and these gardens are definitely one of them. It was not crowded on a weekend and only a short 20 minute drive from LA. There's something about gardens that I find so calming.

I wore the floral kimono to be able to hide among the cherry blossom trees....or simply because its so easy (lazy) to wear and so versatile. I threw it on over the bodysuit, but you can also dress it up with a belt, or cross it over so it looks like a robe. Many ways! This kimono is a favorite that I've had for a while, from H&M. As much as I love floral kimonos, I think one per closet is enough : ) Also lucky to have had my sister do the French braid on me, can't figure that out ever. The 2-sided earring is from Jules Smith, gifted by my best friend, because we share everything... or because she only wears one at a time and had a leftover earring : )
